About the Role




We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven

Management Accountant

to join our growing finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing the month-end process, and providing insights that help drive better commercial decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with around 3 years' experience who is ready to step into a broad and impactful role within a high-growth SaaS business.


You'll be working in a supportive, fast-moving environment where your input is valued and your development is a priority.

What You'll Do



Manage month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis Support budgeting, forecasting, and rolling financial models Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and SaaS metrics Assist with cash flow reporting and scenario planning Partner with internal stakeholders to manage cost centres and budget tracking Support audit preparation, tax filings, and other statutory requirements Help improve and maintain financial processes, controls, and reporting tools Readiness for our next Investment round Involvement in M&A

What We're Looking For



Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) Strong financial reporting and management accounting skills Excellent Excel experience A strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Good communication skills and a collaborative working style Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to make a meaningful impact

Desirable



Experience in SaaS, subscription-based, or high-growth tech businesses Proficiency in tools such as Xero Google Sheets

First Stage: In-Person Interview



You'll meet with our CFO and CPO at our Newcastle office. This conversation will focus on your background, motivation, and alignment with our business, values, and growth plans.

Second Stage: Task & Discussion



Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a task designed to reflect real aspects of the Finance Manager role. You'll then meet again with the CFO and CPO to talk through your approach and discuss how you'd tackle key challenges in the role.
