Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented finance manager to process, oversee and manage the financial operations of this business along with other smaller businesses.
Reporting to the chairman this a pivotal role, providing accurate information across the finance function and ensuring the highest standards of reporting, compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Preparation and monitor short term cash flow forecast to maintain effective cost control.
Preparation and monitor of long term cash flow forecast including the calculation and monitoring of quarterly covenants and working capital requirements.
Daily bank reconciliations.
Sales invoicing, credit control and account reconciliations
Purchase ledger, statement reconciliation and BACS payments.
Processing of monthly payroll including the administration of auto enrolment pension and ensuring company compliance.
Managing employee issues. eg. sickness holiday, SMP, SPP, living wage, P45's, holiday pay, overtime, sickness, etc.
Dealing with any customer/supplier queries over the telephone.
Preparation of daily reports for the directors.
Manage and complete monthly credit card reconciliations on various companies.
Preparation of timely and accurate month-end and year end financial, statutory and management accounts.
Monitoring monthly KPIs and reporting any variances.
Completion of monthly CIS returns for sister company.
Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns for sister company.
Monitor build projects and send drawdown information to the bank surveyor for sister company.
Negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers, utilities and insurance companies.
Ad hoc duties as and when required by the chairman.
Qualifications
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting management accounts.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent attention to details and organisational skills.
Proficiency in financial software applications and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
This is a part time position ideally for 5 mornings per week at 22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Salary is pro rated and dependant on experience and to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
