Job Description


Our client, a medical developer and leading player in its field is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to join its team in Southport. Recently acquired by a hugely successful US business, the UK operation seeks a talented individual to take the reins and help drive financial success.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the US, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of this innovative company. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company\'s goals and objectives.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and provide accurate forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and trends to guide strategic discussions.
  • Acquisition Integration: Utilise your financial expertise to facilitate the smooth integration of recently acquired businesses into the company\'s financial framework.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation plans to safeguard the organisation\'s financial stability.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a dedicated finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure departmental success.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
You:
  • Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA or approaching qualification
  • Enthusiastic, hard worker
  • Flexible with a willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks
  • Methodical, disciplined and detailed
  • Self-starter, able to work using own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively across all levels of the business
