Finance Manager
Groupe Atlantic are a French family-owned international organisation employing 8,000 people and boasting a turnover in excess of EUR2bn. They specialise in providing heating and ventilation products for both domestic and commercial markets.
The UK & ROI Division has several market leading brands including the household name Ideal Heating who manufacture in excess of 400,000 domestic and commercial boilers per year. Recent activity has seen a drive to support its increasing focus on new and sustainable heating technologies such as heat pumps for the new build housing market.
Opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen to join Finance Function as their next Finance Manager due to the incumbent securing a Finance Director role.
Time will be split with 50% being focused on statutory accounting, tax and reporting for several group entities, and working closely with the Group CFO based in Hull.
The remaining 50% will cover full financial management and reporting for ACV UK a Scottish based subsidiary with a turnover circa 10m. AVC UK specialise in commercial hot water & heating products.
This position is particularly well-suited to candidates with an audit background from practice, or those who have transitioned into industry and cover statutory accounting and compliance as part of their role. It is a great opportunity with variety.
Responsibilities will include:
Statuorary & Compliance
Working with the Group CFO to ensure Group is on track from a statutory and compliance perspective in line with year-end deadlines.
Preparation of annual statutory accounts and audit pack, maintaining relationship with auditors, providing support and assistance to complete audits on time.
Run monthly consolidation for the UK group following standardised company accounting principles, with reconciliation to local accounting records.
Act as a liaison with their external tax consultants, collate the relevant information and work with the relevant stakeholders within finance & R&D to enable the preparation and submission of the corporation tax calculation.
Act as the coordinator for UK group Insurance obligations, including product, public and credit insurance requirements.
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns for the group, including management of payments on account.
Execute, monitor, and further develop cashflow forecasting with the UK group whilst supporting and maintaining existing banking relationships.
Subsidiary Management Accounts
Produce monthly and year end accounts for AVC UK a 10m subsidiary business
Assist AVC UK stakeholders with budgets, reporting on variances, sales and cash and forecasting.
Visit AVC UK as required.
Person:
The successful Finance Manager should have the following skills and experience:
Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Experienced with FRS102
Prior experience in a similar role, or practice background
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable with analysing large amounts of data
Able to communicate analysis to key stakeholders succinctly and confidently
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
A team player with a flexible and positive attitude
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Powerpoint, Word, Skype, Teams)
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (if statements, vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formatting)
