We're a modern brewery based in Finchampstead, Berkshire, creating beers aimed to excite and intrigue. We ship our award-winning beers around the world and are proudly celebrating our 9th anniversary. Alongside our trade sales, we operate a tap room at the brewery, a city centre tap room, and a country pub.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager who can hit the ground running. The position is available full-time or part-time for the right person. It can be primarily remote, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and review of monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) using Xero for presentation to directors.
Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements (Companies House, Corporation Tax, PAYE, Beer Duty, VAT).
Submit monthly payroll & pension data to our payroll bureau.
Support invoice processing, income tracking, and payments with help from an accounts assistant.
Manage monthly stock control reporting and the fixed asset ledger.
Oversee daily banking and credit control functions.
Assist with year-end accounts and annual budget preparation.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and management accounting.
Proficient in Excel.
Experience with Xero preferred (or confident ability to learn new systems quickly).
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Clear communicator, comfortable liaising across departments and with senior leadership.
A can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
A passion for beer is a bonus - but not essential!
Qualifications
Minimum requirement
:
AAT Level 4 (or equivalent)
OR part-qualified with ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or similar
Candidates who are qualified by experience (QBE) with strong demonstrable track record in a similar role are also welcome to apply.
