Job Description

HedgerWay are exclusively partnering a private equity-backed manufacturing business based in Hull is seeking a Finance Manager to join its high-performing leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on finance role in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting the business through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
Prepare management accounts and insightful commentary for internal stakeholders and PE investors
Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycle across the business
Take ownership of cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
Support audit processes and statutory compliance
Work with operational teams to understand performance drivers and identify efficiencies
Help shape financial processes and controls in line with the needs of a scaling PE-backed environment
About You:
ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in industry or practice
Strong technical accounting skills and commercial awareness
Comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage across functions
Experience in manufacturing or working with PE-backed businesses is advantageous but not essential
