Finance Officer

to join our team at HMP Addiewell. This role plays a key part in supporting the prison's operations by ensuring the secure and accurate handling of prisoner funds in line with Sodexo Justice Services (SJS) policies.

What you'll do:

Record all prisoner cash transactions, adjudication deductions, and loan entries accurately and promptly Process prisoner funds upon release and handle inter-prison cheque transfers Maintain up-to-date, valuable property records and monitor phone usage costs Manage petty cash and ensure full accountability of all prisoner monies Support additional prison operations as required Stay current with all mandatory and refresher training

What we're looking for:

Essential

Strong IT skills and previous administration experience. Excellent communication skills. Proven experience in

cash handling and financial record-keeping

with high attention to detail. Flexible and able to cope with fluctuating levels of demand and an evolving role.

Desirable

Previous experience in a custodial or similar secure environment.
