We are seeking to appoint a Finance Officer within the Salford Leaving Care Team (Next Step).

About You

We are looking for an individual who have good interpersonal and communication skills who have previously worked with vulnerable young people. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be confident talking to service users and be able to respond in a professional and understanding way. This is an extremely busy role and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to manage their own workload, be flexible and adaptable and work as part of a team, to ensure all the responsibilities and deadlines in relation to supporting the service are considered and acted upon within agreed timescales.

Experience in handling financial accounts would be desirable but not essential. You will be able to learn and understand council policies and financial procedures and apply it to the role. You will be able to work efficiently across several IT systems.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check \xe2\x80\x93 currently \xc2\xa338.00. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months\xe2\x80\x99 salary payments at a rate of \xc2\xa39.50 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of \xc2\xa338.00.
