Role Overview



To assist the accounts team with daily finance activity, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This role is ideal for someone with some experience in accounting and finance who is looking to further develop their career.

Key Tasks and Duties



Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

Creating payment for approval.

Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Handling bank reconciliations on Xero.

Updating data files for provider remittances.

Assisting with reconciliation tasks, including bank reconciliations, supplier statement

reconciliations, landlord payments reconciliation, and resolving any variances.

Working closely with Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure revenue and cost invoices are processed in Xero and reconciled to each provider or local authority.

Making payroll payments, ensuring all data is accurate and discrepancies are promptly

addressed.

Maintaining accurate financial records and updating internal systems.

Key Tasks and Duties



Building and managing relationships with internal departments, suppliers, landlords, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.

Providing general administrative support to the finance team. Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required

The Finance Officer is expected to uphold the organisation's values and maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity. They should comply with all internal financial controls, policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement efforts and supporting a positive, collaborative team environment.

Essential:



Minimum AAT Level 4 qualification.

Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large data sets.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle queries effectively.

Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.

A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines, high transaction volumes, and multiple priorities efficiently.

Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.

Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.

Desirable:



Prior experience in a finance role.

Experience working in the housing sector.

Familiarity with financial software such as Xero.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-40,000.00 per year
