Boyce Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to support the Group Operations/Finance Manager in delivering accurate, efficient, and compliant financial operations across the Group. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic property, retail, and leisure group, requiring someone with strong technical ability and excellent attention to detail.
The Finance Officer will be responsible for completing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring records are accurate, deadlines are met, and compliance requirements are fulfilled. The successful candidate will be AAT Level 4 qualified (or qualified by experience) and motivated to develop within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Tax & Compliance
Prepare and file VAT returns across multiple entities.
Complete CIS returns and ensure records are accurate.
Support with the filing of company accounts and liaise with external accountants as required.
Prepare confirmation statements and support Companies House compliance processes.
Financial Operations
Complete purchase ledger processes and maintain supplier relationships.
Process supplier payments and oversee direct debit transfers.
Carry out daily cashflow monitoring, including intercompany transfers and loan movements.
Administer payroll and pensions, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
Process payments for business rates, council tax, and other statutory obligations.
Centre & Property Management Support
Prepare annual service charge statements for Kingsway Centre.
Raise tenant recharge invoices for insurance and energy.
Monitor rent arrears and escalate collection issues to the Finance Manager.
Prepare monthly recharge invoices and carry out project cost analysis.
Complete intercompany recharge reconciliations across multiple group companies.
Review overhead contracts such as utilities and subscriptions, highlighting cost-saving opportunities.
Analysis & Reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts for Nap Apartments and other group entities for review by the Finance Manager.
Assist with pricing exercises and financial modelling for new ventures.
Produce reports and insights to support project evaluation and strategic decision-making.
Skills & Experience
AAT Level 4 qualification (or qualified by experience).
Experience in completing VAT, CIS, and payroll processes.
Good understanding of multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
Strong technical skills in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Confident using accounting software such as Sage or Xero.
Organised, detail-focused, and able to work to strict deadlines.
