We are seeking a
detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer
to join our team. This role involves overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with purchasing guidelines, and providing support for invoice processing and month-end procedures.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 6-8 weeks with a pay rate of 16.92 per hour + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve
orders for goods and services, ensuring funding eligibility and compliance with purchasing guidelines.
Process and manage
invoices, internal recharges, and adjustment journals
, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Generate
monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc sales invoices
while maintaining appropriate records.
Provide
guidance to Finance Assistants
and assist with invoice processing during peak periods.
Work closely with the
Purchase to Pay Team Leader
to enhance dashboard performance across financial systems.
Maintain
good relationships with suppliers and the central finance office
to resolve issues proactively.
Selection Criteria:
Experience in
financial administration
.
Educated to
GCSE standard or equivalent
.
Proficient in
Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases
.
Strong
organizational skills
with the ability to meet deadlines.
Experience in
interpreting financial policies
and ensuring compliance.
A DBS check will be carried out on the successful candidate
