The Greyhound Trust National Support Centre is offering a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join us as our Finance and Operations Officer. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Resources, the successful candidate will be actively involved in a wide range of financial, and some operational, aspects of the charity's work.

The Greyhound Trust has an annual income and turnover of circa 3m and also has a wholly owned trading subsidiary, Greyhound Events Ltd, and you will be involved in the finance and operational activities of both entities.

Key responsibilities:

? Processing donations and other fundraising income

? Inputting of sales and purchase invoices into the SAGE accounting system and processing payments to suppliers

? Carrying out core accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, cheque processing

? Receiving and handling finance queries from internal customers, suppliers and supporters

? Providing financial support to the Trust's network of branches and volunteers

? Providing day-to-day support to the Head of Finance and Resources on various financial and operational matters

? Maintaining the web shop for Greyhound Events Limited, including identifying and ordering products, ensuring the web shop is up-to-date and accurate.

? Liaising with the outsourced warehouse and fulfilment function for Greyhound Events Limited, including processing refunds, responding to stock queries, out of stock products etc.

Skills and experience we need from you:



? Part qualified with a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or qualified through experience through working in a similar role in a busy Accounts office

? A strong work ethic and a bright, positive, and enthusiastic "can do" attitude

? Organised, accurate, with good attention to detail

? Strong verbal and written skills, constructive communication

? Ability to show excellent discretion and adhere to professional standards and confidentiality

? Proven IT skills with various accounting and other software including Word, Excel and basic database use. SAGE 50 experience desirable

? Willingness to learn, and a commitment to personal development
