An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, analytical and adaptable Finance Officer, with a strong attention to detail to join our outstanding finance team working in a highly regarded independent school with children aged 2 to 18 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming community in one of the leading independent schools in the area.

Tranby are looking to appoint a part-time, all-year round Finance Officer from early-December 2025. This role is for 22.5 hours per week to suit the successful candidate. As part of the wider admin team, the successful candidate would also be required to help out with additional school responsibilities such as covering phones and reception as and when needed during the day.

The ideal candidate for this role would have:

GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 5 or above Previous experience of working in a finance role Previous experience of working in an independent school (desirable) Ability to input data accurately with excellent attention to detail Strong digital skills, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential for this role To be proactive in getting jobs done without being asked Excellent communication skills Able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative Have a fun, can do attitude A willingness to meet challenges with enthusiasm and to contribute as a team member is essential
