We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, overseeing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial services. The Finance Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation.
Duties
Manage and process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Generate invoices and manage credit control of any unpaid amounts.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
Conduct data entry tasks related to financial records and transactions.
Prepare monthly staff payroll, processing overtime and expense claims; produce reports for payments to HMRC and pension providers.
Utilise accounting software for various financial operations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and support business objectives.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights based on financial data analysis.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in a finance or accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software and strong computer literacy is essential.
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Excellent time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
