Finance Officer
Job Description
We are looking for a Nursery and Out of School Finance Officer to manage and support the financial health of our companies - Kids in Bloom Nursery @ The University of Liverpool and Kids in Bloom Nursery @ West Derby.
You should be familiar with Sage, Connect Childcare, invoicing parents, government funded hours and how to apply this to children's accounts on Connect.
Our ideal candidate demonstrates experience in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organisational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Ultimately, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures.
The role is 16 hours per site. Some working from home hours are included.
Responsibilities
Keep accurate records for all daily transactions Prepare balance sheets Process invoices Record accounts payable and accounts receivable Update internal systems with financial data Reconcile bank statements Track bank deposits and payments
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Finance Officer in a School or Nursery or similar role Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures Experience using financial software Excel skills Knowledge of financial regulations Excellent information recording skills Time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 24,960.00 per year
Expected hours: 32 per week
