We're looking for a Finance Officer to play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of our finance function. You'll be the go-to person for all things finance related at Agile Cadence, ensuring that all necessary controls and processes are followed and maintained. You'll support leadership decision making and provide outstanding support to our team, our suppliers, and our customers for all finance related matters. You will be:
The go to person for all things finance related, taking ownership of core finance activities, reporting on finance administration, email management and query resolution or escalation.
Implementing and working within robust financial controls.
Supporting the company with corporate administration, including Companies House and HMRC.
Liaising with external accountants/auditors for the timely production of financial accounts and relevant company tax returns.
Making sure we are doing everything as we should and adhering to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger activity, including accurate invoicing, effective credit control, and timely supplier payments.
Assisting with payroll and benefits activities, working with the People Team and external payroll provider.
Posting journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and producing monthly financial reports and VAT returns.
Running month end and year-end processes, liaising with external auditors and accountants.
Communicating effectively with suppliers, customers, and colleagues, ensuring service is professional, values-led, and customer focused.
Developing and implementing changes to facilitate continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting to support effective decision-making.
Flexible - you understand that you may be asked to take on other responsibilities or tasks that are not referred to above, but that fall within the remit of your skills and abilities.
About you:
You have experience in a finance role, ideally a qualified or part qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or working towards relevant accountancy qualifications.
You are experienced and competent in working with accounting software and Excel, with the ability to analyse reports and interpret financial data.
You have strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reporting accounting principles and financial regulations.
You have good attention to detail, administration and data processing skills and a proven ability to apply them.
You have strong verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for working with people.
You are resilient, practical and a real self-starter; you are comfortable working on your own and as part of a team.
You are well organised with the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise workload, with multiple conflicting demands.

This role can be carried out on a hybrid basis with a mix of working remotely from home and regular presence in our Head Office in Perth, Scotland. There are no fixed office days.
This position is available on a part time basis of around 30 hours per week however the exact hours and working pattern can be based around the preference of the individual and will be discussed at interview
Salary will depend on experience however we expect to pay in the range of 32-40k+ FTE, pro rata for agreed working hours.
