The school is in an exciting period of development and growth so we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and flexible part time School Finance Officer who will have a key role in helping to ensure the efficient running of our primary academy trust. You will be a valued and busy member of staff working in our vibrant and happy school.

Key Responsibilities:
To prepare detailed income and expenditure breakdowns as well as business plans in support of the future development of the Academy
To prepare the draft annual revenue budget
Regular forecasting throughout the year, as necessary
To prepare the monthly management accounts, including cashflow
To use financial information to assess trends and practice 'Best Value' across all expenditure
Preparing the year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
To process, monitor and undertake all internal accounting procedures
To manage the financial procedures for academy trips and residential stays
Administration of booking for breakfast/afterschool club
To collect, reconcile and record all academy income
To support with IT with the support of our external consultant
You will have:
Proven experience in accountancy, ideally in a school or education setting
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with a range of stakeholders
Knowledge of accountancy and budgeting in a school/academy environment (desirable)
Initiative to develop and build systems and processes
