Golborne is a flourishing 11-16 secondary school that is proud to provide an exceptional education for the children of Golborne and Lowton. We are one of a very small number of comprehensive schools in the North West to be awarded an Ofsted judgement of Outstanding and we are exceptionally proud of what this means for the pupils who attend our school and the staff who work here. As well as strong GCSE results, pupils at Golborne receive a well-rounded curriculum and a wide range of opportunities for development beyond the classroom. We provide a package of CPD for teaching and support staff that delivers opportunities for career development at all levels.
Under the leadership of the Headteacher, Golborne is excited to continue our journey to delivering a world-class education for our students and to become a beacon of excellence at the heart of the community. We are the lead school for Wigan Institute of Education and work together with our partners to deliver Initial Teacher Training, school-to-school support, exceptional CPD and early career framework structures.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, suitably experienced and qualified person to join our Finance team.
The role primarily involves working closely with the Head of Finance and Resources, processing financial transactions and administration to comply with financial regulations.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, including English and Maths (GCSE grade C or above), good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
