Job Purpose:




We have an exciting opportunity, for an experienced Finance Project Manager to join our team at Lucy Electric.


The role will work closely with the various department heads, customers and suppliers. The projects will be wide and varied from new product introduction, restructuring of the organisation and site improvements to commercial project management with customers across the UK and overseas.

Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specialises in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.

Job Context:




The Project Manager will be a key member of the Lucy Electric Finance Team.


As part of our team, you will support the planning and implementation of projects.


You will lead and deliver more complex and challenging projects, both UK and global. This will be working with your peers across various departments across LEUK and EMS to ensure a smooth execution and delivery of projects.

Job Dimensions:




The role will be based in Thame, Oxfordshire, at Lucy Electric's manufacturing plant and office, with hybrid working option available. The role will work closely with the Executive Leadership team, HR, Finance, Comms and Energy Services leadership team.

Key Accountabilities:



These will include:



Ensure timely execution of projects and other project related tasks, product launches, meeting deadlines with accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve successful delivery of projects. Develop and manage both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry partners. Be able to guide cross functional teams and ensure targets and timelines are met. Manage and deliver multiple projects working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Ensure projects and programs are managed successfully. Manage the design process to ensure compliance with the relevant standards and procedures, and any country specific legislation. Support change management, identify risks and opportunities and introduce cost saving strategies where possible. Communicate effectively with customers Conducting a financial analysis of a project to ensure it is viable Creating budgets and forecast expenditures for a project Communicating with stakeholders to ensure they are happy with the financial aspects of the project Reporting on the financial progress of a project to senior management Analyzing variances and finding ways to stay within budget Implementing new or revised financial policies and systems for better financial management Regularly reviewing project costs and makes recommendations for improvements Conducting post-implementation reviews of projects to ensure they were successful financially

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience



Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:



Strong Project Management experience 5+ yrs. Proven work experience as a Finance Project Manager or similar role Bachelor's degree or equivalent Technical qualification or relevant experience in electrical or related industry Project Management or Leadership qualification Proficient in the use of financial software Microsoft Project Use of D365 BSc/BA in accounting, finance, business administration, or relevant field; MSc/MA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
