The role of the Service Implementation SME will be integral to supporting a seamless delivery of the new operation service through the new Workday capability. This will be performed by working closely with our UKSBS Finance Services Operations team, our Service Implementation Leads and other UKSBS teams involved in the implementation and transition of the system and services
The Service Implementation SME role will be central to supporting the implementation of a new Order to Cash service to government departments within the Matrix cluster. You will provide key contributions through all the testing, implementation and run phases of the Matrix Programme.
Your knowledge will be instrumental in the Order to Cash workstream, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and best practice integration. You will be contributing to the transition from legacy systems to next-generation operations while aligning services with public sector needs and expectations.
Duties will include, but not limited to the following:
Support in completion of project deliverables and tasks, as assigned by Service Implementation Leads including, create and provide feedback on process solutions, create and review user stories for testing and conduct testing in multiple phases
Support in service readiness and service acceptance, including create and review all required process documentation, process flows and Standard Operating Processes
Participate in workaround solution design and training needs analysis, plans, schedules, content and delivery
Provide input and support execution of Order to Cash Service Change Management activities, including Change impact assessments, team communication content development and delivery, knowledge article and content development as well as co-design stakeholder messaging in conjunction with Service Implementation Leads
Provide content knowledge, expertise, guidance and input for areas of respective existing expertise and new services
Give advice with respect to project deliverables and risks, identifying and raising any roadblocks or barriers
Assist with time estimations for project planning, as applicable
Support onboarding of new staff members for Matrix
Embrace and role model New Ways of Working and be a Change Ambassador within the department for Matrix & Neo
To be considered for the role, you will need the following:
Extensive experience and knowledge within the Order to Cash workstream covering Customer invoicing, Receipting and banking, together with Dunning and Debt Collection
Good knowledge of a SaaS ERP solution (Ideally Workday but other ERP solutions will be considered)
Confidence to challenge assumptions and flag risks proactively, offering practical solutions
High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of data, processes and documentation
First-class communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent stakeholder engagement
A pro-active and problem-solving approach with a clear focus on delivery
Experience of working within test phases of project implementation.
Knowledge of AI and automation in operational processing and how it enhances efficiency would be highly advantageous
Experience in using data-driven insights to inform operational improvements would be beneficial
Understanding of wider Government Accounting
In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week (full time) with start and finish times between 8am - 6pm, or part time hours to suit.
