Finance Administrator (9 month FTC)



As one of two Finance Specialists you will be integral to the smooth running of the business. You will report to the Finance Manager and support her and the CFO in the effective operation of the Finance function.

You will work independently with initiative, always looking for opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction by having an exceptional eye for detail. You are self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude and approach opportunities with enthusiasm. You can work flexibly and collaboratively to support different areas of the business with finance assistance. You have the confidence to challenge others if key sales and financial processes have not been adhered to. You can be relied upon to deliver tasks on time and to a high standard.

There will be opportunities to develop your finance skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Experience within a finance function is essential.

Primary Duties include:



Accounts Receivable

- Sales ledger invoicing, credit checks, credit control and collections

Sales Process Adherence

. Monitoring and enforcing the company's sales processes with the commercial operations - to ensure Purchase Order adherence, and compliance with rules for income spreading, income recognition, commission recognition, and sales bonus recognition

Management Reporting & Compliance

- Support end-of-month reporting, manage sales ledger documentation, maintain Statement of Works, prepare sales and profitability reports

Audit Preparation -

Support monthly/annual audit preparation

Role Requirements



You will have at least 1 year's experience working in a Finance administration role.

Contract Type:

9-month Fixed Term Contract - with the possibility of contract extension or conversion to a permanent role

Salary

: 30,000 to 35,000 dependent on experience and portfolio quality

Annual bonus

: based on company and employee performance

Working Hours

: 38 hours per week - with flexibility on both sides regarding start and end time each day (our core hours are 10am-3pm).

Work Location and environment

: Based in our brand new Manchester office in the city centre with the opportunity to work from home one day a week. We provide financial assistance with home office set up. The office environment is relaxed with a dress down policy and comfy sitting areas, ping-pong table, free tea, coffee, fruit, and drinks fridge. There is a free onsite gym facility.

Holidays

: 29 days including bank holidays, plus after six months' service you get a day off on your birthday and an extra day off after 1 year and 5 extra days after 5 years' service. We have "Fun in the Sun" half day Fridays in July and August.

Regular social events/activities

: Including parties, team lunches and nights out.

Training and development

- You will get a training allowance of 500 pa plus support for relevant technical certifications.

Private Healthcare (BUPA).

This includes access to online GPs via Babylon and up to two free face-to-face private GP appointments per year. You can also arrange cover for your partner/family at your own cost.
