Osborne Clarke are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Reporting Analyst to join our International Finance Systems team in either our Bristol or London office.

This newly created position will play a crucial role in establishing and building out our reporting capability across the firm on an international scale, ensuring alignment with business initiatives and contributing to the transformation of our financial systems.



This is a permanent position offering hybrid working.


The role





The Finance Systems Reporting Analyst is a key, hands-on role with responsibility for the provision of reporting to all national businesses across the firm's financial reporting systems including Elite 3E,Elite Data Insights and Advanced Financial Solutions, the firm's budgeting and GL reporting tool. Reporting into the Finance Systems BI & Reporting Manager, this role will manage the core set of reports available within Elite3E and assist with the maintenance and development of the core set of financial dashboards and reports available to the business.


Other key responsibilities include:




Stakeholder Engagement:

Developing a strong working relationship with key stakeholders. Understanding the reporting needs from both fee-earning and business services departments, providing input into the specification and design of reporting output.


Reporting and Dashboard Management:

Developing and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to support the relevant Business Services and Legal Teams internationally. Managing the core set of reports available within Elite 3E and assisting with the maintenance and development of financial dashboards and reports.


Technical Standards and Documentation:

Ensuring technical standards are defined and adhered to. Creating and maintaining documentation and technical specifications to support implemented solutions.


Support and Troubleshooting:

Providing second line support for the resolution of data queries and issues raised by the business. Liaising with third-party vendors to rectify issues. Trouble-shooting system issues and identifying system improvements to meet user and business requirements.


Project Involvement:

Acting as a key technical resource on future projects including the 3E roadmap improvements.


We are looking for




Experience in using BI tools (ideally Power BI) for dashboard, data visualisation, report creation and broader ability to tell stories with data, working with key finance team members to advise and develop the most appropriate data views and visualisations. Awareness of Software Development Lifecycle. Experience with data query languages especially T-SQL. An understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience of Elite Data Insights desirable. International professional services sector experience. Experience of delivering reporting in a finance environment. Self-motivated and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication. Strong time management, organisational and prioritisation skills. Excellent attention to detail, coupled with a high level of accuracy in all tasks performed. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
