Finance Team Leader

We are currently seeking a Finance Team Leader to join our Finance team.Company InformationAdvent Bioservices is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) providing GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and related products, process development and ancillary services. We support the development of complex, breakthrough therapies for a globally diverse market. We are at the forefront of revolutionary medicine in which life-threatening diseases are treated using advanced therapy medicinal products.


Job Summary


The Finance Team Leader will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the Finance department, managing, and mentoring a small team, and taking overall responsibility for the smooth running of the purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll functions.


This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to financial and payroll regulations and optimise the organisation's internal accounting processes.


Key responsibilities will include:

Responsibility of month-end and year-end processing including review of nominal accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of journals, fixed asset review, cashflow forecasting and preparation of monthly management reports. Previous experience of year end audit, including preparation of the required analysis and deliverables.Co-ordination and preparation of budgets. Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employeesEffectively allocate tasks among team members to balance workloads and ensure optimal productivity. Encourage cross-training and collaboration to build a well-rounded and flexible team. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture by providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and empowering the two financial assistants to excel in their roles.


The successful candidate will have the following experience/qualifications:

Accounting, or another relevant accounting qualification (minimum AAT level 4) Previous experience managing a Finance teamProgressive experience in all aspects of accounting to trial balance and payroll administration Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate information to stakeholders throughout all levels of the business Previous experience using Intuit QuickBooks Online is desirable
