Requirements

The Role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to play a pivotal role in designing and building a modern, scalable lending platform. This role involves leading a team of engineers to develop high-quality, maintainable software that enables lending services across multiple European markets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. Architect, design, and develop scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Ensure security, performance, and scalability best practices. Conduct code reviews and promote high coding standards. Champion tooling (including AI-powered tools) to enhance productivity. Manage, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development. 2+ years of experience in team leadership and line management. Strong software architecture, database, and system performance optimisation expertise. Hands-on experience with Python, Django (or similar backend frameworks). Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud) and infrastructure management. Knowledge of modern deployment practices (Serverless, Docker, Event-Driven Systems, CI/CD). Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Experience working with remote or hybrid teams.

Desirable Experience

Working in regulated lending environments. Leading multinational software deployments.
