Financial Account Manager - Captive Management, Guernsey

What the day will look like
You'll be responsible for supervising and managing a portfolio of insurance licensed entities, acting as the primary contact for clients on accounting and investment matters. Your day-to-day will include:
Liaising with clients to understand reporting requirements and ensuring deadlines are met Presenting financial and investment updates at board meetings Reviewing contractual documentation to determine appropriate accounting treatment Overseeing the preparation and review of management and statutory accounts Preparing high-quality board papers and collaborating with underwriters and directors Monitoring cash, investments, and reconciliations in line with mandates and guidelines Managing claims reconciliation and year-end audits Handling regulatory correspondence and insurance returns Ensuring compliance with internal controls and maintaining statutory records

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Qualified accountant with proven experience within financial services. Strong technical knowledge of accountancy and insurance industry practices Proven leadership and supervisory skills with attention to detail - desirable Proficient in general ledger systems and IT software Experience in training team members and maintaining confidentiality
