The Role...
As the Financial Accountant (12 Month FTC) you will play a key role in the finance team. Reporting into the Group Finance Manager you will ensure that internal reporting requirements and statutory submissions are accurate and timely. You will be liaising with colleagues across the business including the shared service centre based in the US and you will provide support and analysis as required.
Main Duties...
Month end general ledger postings
Balance sheet reconciliations
Capital Expenditure monitoring and analysis and reporting.
Preparation of the quarterly VAT return and annual PSA return.
Preparation of national statistics returns
Responsible for US GAAP pension reporting in the general ledger.
Ensuring that intercompany, royalty postings intangibles amortisation accounting is accurate
Assist with the preparation of the notes to the year- end statutory accounts for the parent company and its subsidiaries where required.
What We Are Looking For...
Experience in working with busy financial accounts function with responsibility for balance sheet control, VAT, tax compliance, fixed asset and intercompany accounting.
Qualified or part qualified accountant from one of the main accounting bodies.
This role will have contact with senior members of staff and colleagues based in the US and will require strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
