Job Description

You'll ensure month-end numbers are watertight and insight-driven.
Your financial acumen will directly support key commercial decisions.

• Ensure integrity and accuracy of month-end reported actuals.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners to analyse budget assumptions and variances.
• Prepare month-end and quarterly management packs for senior review.
• Challenge journal calculations and raise prepayments or accruals as needed.
• Review and close prior month actions, driving continuous improvement.
• Manage master data requests and entity-level reporting activities.
• Prepare and report quarterly management accounts, ensuring balance accuracy.
• Support quarterly analytical reviews by investigating costs and providing commentary.
• Assist with balance sheet queries and WBS settlement processes.

• Full qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience within utilities, energy, or large complex industry.
• Strong background in financial reporting and management accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness.
• Confident communicator able to partner with non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
