is a well-established members' club at the heart of the Frimley Green community. We're seeking an experienced and reliable
Financial Accountant/Bookkeeper
to manage our financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reporting.
You'll report directly to the
Club Secretary
and work closely with the Club Treasurer and a part-time Admin Assistant in a small, friendly office. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Accounts Payable: data entry, online purchasing, statement checks, and account maintenance.
Oversee Accounts Receivable: process receipts, manage credit control, issue statements, and maintain balances. Prepare, send, and file invoices.
Complete and file VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
Process HMRC payments and ensure deadlines are met.
Reconcile bank, petty cash, and business card accounts.
Process petty cash and employee expenses.
Manage staff payroll accurately and on schedule.
Prepare monthly cashflow forecasts and identify discrepancies.
Produce monthly financial reports (P&L, sales analysis, payables/receivables).
Support year-end preparation and roll-forward of accounts.
Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Oversee the Admin Assistant's day-to-day activities.
Support the day-to-day running of the club, including correspondence with members and
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience.
Minimum 2 years' experience using Sage 50
Recognised bookkeeping qualification or part-qualified (desirable).
Excellent computer literacy, with strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and manipulate data effectively.
Sound knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, including reconciliations.
