Job Description

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented

Part-Time Bookkeeper & Finance Coordinator

to support the financial operations of multiple small businesses and personal finances.

You'll help keep everything organised, accurate, and up to date - from business bookkeeping to managing receipts and preparing for self-assessment.

The role will be

based at a private office near Tewkesbury

and is ideal for someone looking for a flexible part-time role with variety and responsibility.

Key ResponsibilitiesFor Two Limited Companies (Using Xero):



Handle day-to-day bookkeeping (bank reconciliations, expense tracking, invoice matching) Maintain well-organised financial records and digital files Collaborate with the accountant for VAT, payroll, and year-end accounts Assist with budget tracking and cash flow reporting Support invoice creation and payment chasing as needed

For a Holiday Let Business (Using Xero Starter):



Record income and costs (e.g. platform fees, housekeeping, commissions) Maintain a simple accounting setup suitable for property rental Help prepare annual summaries for self-assessment

For Personal Finances:



Track expenses relevant to self-assessment (e.g. business-related personal costs) Organise receipts, insurance, and financial admin Maintain an overview of recurring subscriptions and financial reminders

Skills & Requirements



Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial admin roles Strong working knowledge of Xero (certification ideal but not required) Highly organised and detail-focused Good problem-solving skills and initiative Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion Comfortable working across multiple small entities and personal tasks Awareness of UK VAT, payroll, and accounting practices

Location & Hours



Based at a quiet office near

Tewkesbury (Highfield Business Park)

Part-time, flexible hours - likely

1-2 days per week

on average Some additional time expected at the beginning to get everything in order

Compensation



Competitive hourly or day rate, depending on experience Role can evolve with the business over time - with flexibility and autonomy
