Biesse Group UK is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Financial Accountant
to join our Finance team in Daventry. This role has a strong focus on
balance sheet reconciliations
while ensuring compliance with
UK GAAP and IFRS
. You will play a key part in the monthly close process, support audits, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and review
balance sheet reconciliations
(main focus of the role).
Ensure compliance with
UK GAAP and IFRS
standards.
Review and approve
Concur expense claims
, liaising with business areas as needed.
Support the
audit process
, providing required documentation and analysis.
Perform
bank reconciliations
, including
Kyriba cashflow matching
.
Complete
intercompany cash pooling reconciliations
.
Manage
month-end Oracle activities
, including closing/opening of AP, AR, Inventory, GL, and Purchasing.
Create and post
Oracle accounting entries
and journals (cost re-allocations, prepayments, etc.).
Provide backup support for
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
(urgent payments, invoice posting, cash allocation, and sales order release).
Process and validate
intercompany invoices
, ensuring accurate reconciliation of statements.
Support
inventory and machine stock-taking
.
Prepare and submit
VAT returns
, with a focus on car lease invoicing.
Assist with
corporate tax calculations and submissions
.
Monitor and reconcile
suspense accounts
.
What We're Looking For
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of
UK GAAP and IFRS
.
Proven experience in reconciliations, month-end close, and statutory compliance.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communicator, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Skills
Experience with
Oracle EBS
and/or
Excel4apps
.
Advanced
Excel skills
and solid knowledge of Microsoft 365.
Experience with
Kyriba
and intercompany cash pooling.
