Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Manchester - hybrid

Contract: 6 Months

Hours: 37.5H P/W

Salary: \xc3\x82\xc2\xa3260 per day inside IR35 via Umbrella

i-pharm consulting is working with a global pharmaceutical company who are a preferred global partner to the pharmaceutical, biotech and nutrition markets. They focus on enabling treatments that prevent illness and support healthier lifestyles and optimize scientific innovation and manufacturing technology to enable our customers to serve their patients and consumers. We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join them at their Manchester office.

Role Purpose:

As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key member of an established Finance team, your role is to provide support primarily on the preparation and submission of EMEA statistics. You will also be assisting the preparation of statutory accounts and compliance with tax regulation. You contribute to the monthly close by accruals preparation, commissions calculations, Tax computation and reviewing payroll postings.

Key Accountabilities and Duties:

• Prepare and submit statistic survey across EMEA (Turnover/industrial production/ business survey)
• Prepare and monitor accrual schedule for professional service across EMEA
• Statutory accounting and compliance - liaison with nominated outsourced provider and external auditors for small entities.
• Preparation and review of commissions and rebates postings.
• Review payroll posting and assist with banking approvals.
• Quarterly Group tax calculations for several EMEA entities.
• Business Case support as assigned. Assist with corporate projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Includes but not limited to: cash flow forecasting, internal controls execution.

Education:

• Graduate or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) . Preferred area of study: Business Studies / Accountancy

Experience:

• +-3 years of relevant experience in the accounting field. Preferably dealing with several different European Markets (France / Spain / UK / Switzerland)

Licenses or Certifications:

• CIMA ACCA or ACA.

Knowledge:

• Financial accounting including IFRS and UKGAAP (other European local GAAPs are a plus)

Skills:

• Business level English language is a must, French and German are a plus.
• Add: Proficiency in SAP, HFM and Excel is a plus.
• Ability to work with a strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualities and Attitude:

• Self-motivated, innovative and open to learning other functions and participating in projects.
