As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team and help shape the next stage of our journey.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Financial Accountant with strong all-round finance skills, especially in Sage 50, and an eye for detail. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business and have a strong understanding of financial processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Daily processing of cash receipts and payments using Sage 50 and our CRM system
Cash flow monitoring, recording, and forecasting
Planning and making payments to suppliers and clients
Posting purchase invoices and updating sales invoices from CRM to Sage
Stock management and reconciliation between Sage and e-commerce platform
Reconciliation of client and supplier accounts
Maintaining and analysing nominal account balances
Journal entries for payroll, expenses, and ad hoc items
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Producing daily, weekly, and monthly Excel reports
Preparing monthly management accounts packs and ad hoc reports
Supporting annual business planning and forecasts
Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts
What You'll Bring
3-5 years' experience in financial accounting, including reconciliations and reporting
Strong understanding of stock management
Proven experience with Sage 50 Accounting
Qualified by experience or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong IT skills, especially Excel (including pivot tables and spreadsheet creation)
Proactive and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude
