Job Description

The role of Financial Accountant is a key part of the large Finance department in Oxford and is key in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This permanent position is based on the outskirts of Oxford with parking on site and offers a hybrid working model.
We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll manage monthly IFRS reporting for multiple subsidiaries, prepare statutory financial statements, and support external audits throughout the year.
You'll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning, while driving process improvements and digitalisation initiatives. Your insights will help streamline operations and enhance financial accuracy.

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Previous experience in financial accounting with audit, a Practice background would be ideal.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
