Robert Half is partnering with a growing medical device company based in Royston to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a regulated, innovation-led organisation operating in an international group structure, offering strong exposure to statutory reporting, technical accounting, and consolidation activities.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of balance sheet accounting, including reconciliations, reviews, and resolution of complex items
• Preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP / IFRS and liaison with external auditors
• Support group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
• Manage tax-related activities, including corporation tax computations, deferred tax, and coordination with external tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements relevant to a medical device environment
• Contribute to month-end close processes and continuous improvement of reporting and controls
• Support ad-hoc technical accounting queries and projects as the business continues to scale

Your Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent
• Strong experience in financial accounting, ideally within a manufacturing, life sciences, or regulated environment
• Solid understanding of balance sheet accounting, statutory reporting, tax, and consolidations
• Comfortable working within a group structure
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders
