Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts in accordance with IFRS, with particular focus on:
  • Lease accounting (IFRS 16)
  • Goodwill and intangible asset treatment
  • Production of consolidated group accounts, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
  • Ownership of statutory accounts preparation and acting as a key point of contact for:
  • External auditors
  • Internal audit processes
  • Leading audit preparation, ensuring robust documentation, controls, and timely delivery
  • Preparation and review of monthly management packs, providing clear commentary and variance analysis
  • Supporting FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis (beneficial but not essential)
  • Working closely with Management Accountants to:
  • Plan workloads
  • Set and manage timelines
  • Ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of financial controls, processes, and reporting standards
  • Supporting senior finance stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis and projects as required
Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting background with demonstrable IFRS experience
  • Proven experience producing consolidated accounts
  • Solid understanding of audit requirements and experience managing audit processes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator, able to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or product-based businesses is advantageous
