About the Role


------------------

A brand new role in our Group Finance team, the Financial Accounts Assistant will provide vital support to the team, by contributing to the month end and other processes with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.



The role involves building successful working relationships with other team members, including those based overseas.



Responsibilities include:


Preparing and posting journals for Group companies

Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for Group companies for review

Completing intercompany reconciliations and intra group matrix, ensuring it balances on a monthly basis

Preparing AMGL VAT return for review

Calculating and raising Group recharge invoices

SAP4H - managing user access and periods, running FX revaluations

Loading bank payments for approval

Consolidating month end packs received from regions for review

Preparing and maintaining a 13 week cash flow forecast for group companies

Gathering information for annual insurance process

Gathering information for environmental reporting and supporting information for the annual financial statements

Audit requests for documents, copy invoices, supporting ledgers and reconciliations

Maintaining up to date and organised financial records

Identifying areas for process improvement

Required Skills and Experience

Qualifications


AAT qualified and/or part or newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)




Experience


Experience using SAP4H or a similar accounting system

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with ability to use VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables as a minimum

Excellent understanding of double entry accounting

Experience completing balance sheet reconciliations

Understanding of the importance of processes and internal controls

Ability to communicate in a professional manner and build relationships with other team members, including regional teams overseas

Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
