ABOUT THE ROLE: This is an opportunity to strategically support a fast paced operational and commercial hospitality business as a Finance Data Analyst and first point of financial contact in Falak Royal /Haulystic , the incumbent will be developed in taking full responsibility for analysing, reporting, accounting and proactive key account management at Falak Royal. Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Must be a master in Excel, completing all accounting entries and closures on XERO \xe2\x80\x93 accounting software.
  • Collecting, analysing and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions.
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data.
  • Assist with development, and implementation of policies and programs that guides Haulystic in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
  • Assist in the development of all daily, weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation.
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely.
  • Working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline focused on analytics
  • Analytical acumen and interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable with ambiguity and working with large databases
  • Experience in Excel advanced functions i.e. Vlook ups, if analysis, pivot tables, power pivots, dashboards, lookups, advanced accounting formulas and algorithms.
  • Experience performing financial and ad hoc analysis using Excel.
  • Solid experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritise workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos)
  • Achieved or aiming to achieve a 2.1 and above degree
