Senior Financial Analyst

About this role

Are you an experienced Finance Professional who is energised by the opportunity to combine technical excellence with a deep understanding of our business to positively impact our business?

This Senior Finance Analyst role is part of the newly formed UK Cost Management team and will provide support to some of our highest profile business areas including Marketing, Product and HR. In this role you will be responsible for all month end activity, reporting and Outlook for the different business areas as well as supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner with budget, ad hoc analysis and requests.

You will have plenty of opportunity to interact with a wide range of business stakeholders up to a senior level and work closely with them on both BAU and ad hoc activities as well as being one of the faces of finance and an SME for opex and capex.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing

Supporting the business in the:

Completion of month end activity

Outlook and Budget process by working with various senior stakeholders across the business

Increasing analytical output from the UK Finance team

Trusted advisor to senior stakeholders from the business team and the Finance leadership team

Provide insight and analysis to the UK CFO in monthly financials review (MFR) meetings

Supporting any ad hoc requests that come from the business teams.

Synthesising and simplifying financial and non-financial data.

Driving forward process improvement related activities for the newly setup Cost Management team

How you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing it

Own and have a deep understanding of the end to end month end process and the insight we can gain from it

Combine business knowledge with the expertise that comes from being an excellent finance professional to provide challenge and support.

Collaborating across finance teams to deliver business outcomes together.

Investigating new technologies and tools and supporting process improvement workstreams.

Strong use of all systems and applications relevant to the required outputs of the role (e.g. OneStream, GSuite, Microsoft Office).

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

Strong analytical skills e.g. working in grey space, deep dives on queries, accuracy, spotting errors and asking the right questions.

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (e.g. P&L, budget & forecast etc).

Communication - within and outside Finance. Tailoring written and verbal comms as appropriate.

Relationship building and stakeholder management with teams internal and external to Finance.

Ability to coordinate a complex set of inputs with different drivers, timelines and priorities and bring it together in a story.

Continuous improvement and change agility mindset.

Working collaboratively within and outside Finance, achieving together cross-functionally.

Experience and qualifications needed

Fully qualified accountant.

Experience working in an FP&A function or similar.

Experience or knowledge of opex and capex is helpful but not essential.

This is a permanent position and can be based in either our Nottingham or London offices.
