Job Summary

About the role: Based in Leyland support office and reporting to the FD.

The Finance Analyst will provide comprehensive and professional support to the FD and the wider management team.

The post holder will also be expected to undertake monthly finance routes; develop the finance dashboard, provide data to support the forecasts and budget and develop the finance systems. Perform other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested by the business and another connected when required.

Responsibilities

Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and actively seek opportunities to share best practice within the wider business. Responsible for financial monthly reporting, including management accounts, control account reconciliation and variance analysis. Develop and deliver sales and margin reports, Stock analysis and forecasting. Ensure the Group's financial control policies are implemented and maintained at all times, including but not limited to regular reviews of controls, compliance to delegated authorities, balance sheet reviews. To propose reviews of areas of perceived weakness or risk and ensuring agreed actions are implemented. Support the business by providing appropriate benchmarking and forecasts ensuring realistic assumptions have been made, risks are understood and have where possible been mitigated

Qualifications

Qualified or part qualified Account (or qualified by experience) ACCA/CIMA. Experience of working with and supporting operational colleagues Management accounting experience gained in the service, logistics or waste industries an advantage Strong system skills including advanced Excel, Power BI and preferably, Microsoft Dynamics Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
