The Financial Analyst works through the Profit Protection team reporting to the Pricing Director. As an integral member of the team, this role will be performing revenue management and cost analysis to table recommendations that will influence business decisions. This includes reviewing shipping patterns and characteristics to identify opportunities to increase yields, improve network density and reduce cost, trend monitoring and analysis, as well as scenario management and forecasting.

Responsibilities



Act as knowledge source to company leaders by providing performance reporting and delivering insights into margin trends Track and audit incoming agent costs by developing appropriate Excel/Tableau tools Analyze complex shipment information to provide accurate and timely reporting and recommendations Manage ad hoc and routine analytical requests to meet the needs of logistics and billing management Identify data gaps and inconsistencies; develop techniques to overcome findings and deliver accurate, on-time reporting Communicate perceived risks to senior staff and leadership with recommendations for mitigation Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies and procedures, and update project plans as needed Recommend and guide process improvements

Knowledge & Skills



Advanced level experience and skills operating MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Tableau proficiency SQL proficiency a plus Strong analytical skills; capable of interpreting financial implications of strategic decisions Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to prepare and present ad hoc presentations and analyses to senior management Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional business partners Results oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete and timely fashion Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment Ability to work and interpret large data sets Data mining skills

Experience & Education



Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field 2-3 years analytics experience
