This is a hybrid position in Bridgend

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the financial integrity and performance of projects across CGI's UK business. Working closely with project managers, finance colleagues, and business leaders, you'll help ensure that every project is financially sound, accurately reported, and positioned for success. You'll develop insights that drive informed decision-making and directly contribute to CGI's reputation for operational excellence.



You'll also have opportunities to enhance and streamline financial processes, improving accuracy and efficiency across project reporting. Supported by a collaborative finance community, you'll gain exposure to multiple areas of project accounting and have the chance to shape best practices that make a lasting impact.



Key responsibilities include:



Monitor & Report: Assist the financial lead in ensuring accurate and transparent project reporting.



Analyse & Advise: Review key project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting P&L outcomes.



Validate & Recognise: Ensure correct revenue recognition and cost allocation across diverse client portfolios.



Collaborate & Support: Work closely with project managers and finance teams to ensure alignment on forecasts and budgets.



Optimise & Improve: Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes, tools, and reporting efficiency.



Engage & Influence: Provide financial insights to support commercial decisions, bids, and performance reviews.



Deliver & Develop: Prepare financial packs, audit materials, and management reports with precision and clarity.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed in this position, you'll bring strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in financial performance management. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing accuracy with curiosity and the drive to make a difference.



You should have:



Experience in financial analysis, project accounting, or management reporting.



Confidence working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.



Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.



A process-driven mindset with attention to detail and deadlines.



Working knowledge of financial systems such as PeopleSoft or Hyperion (desirable).



Started or be planning to start ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification.



Experience in the IT or professional services sector (advantageous but not essential).
