DESCRIPTION

Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to support its growing European Amazon Advertising business. Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and ecommerce and offers advertisers a rich array of innovative advertising solutions across Amazon\'s mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices and DSP solutions. We are breaking fresh ground and pioneering a crucial platform for future Amazon growth. We are entrepreneurial and have a bias for action with a broad mandate to experiment and innovate.

The successful candidate will work with the EU Advertising sales teams on approvals on Yield rule exceptions such as pricing below floor price and makegoods. They will maintain rate cards and pricing for Display ad products in Amazon\'s in-house systems. Candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects to enhance Yield operations and audit processes including training sales teams on new processes and managing the change process related to process updates. The right individual will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyse quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.

This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Reviewing Advertising campaigns triggered for yield approval in Order Management System (OMS) or Salesforce (SF)
  • Work cross-functionally with Advertising operations team and sales team to understand the justification for exceptions offered in the ad campaigns and documenting the same in the OMS
  • Working with OMS product team to resolve the inconsistencies observed in the system and to add new features ensuring improvement in OMS workflow
  • Incorporating critical technical and pricing details about different ad products across multiple geographies in Artemis portal at periodic intervals
  • Identify opportunities for automation and streamline the approval process
  • Carry out a quarterly post mortem of yield approval triggers to assess trends and identify opportunities for process improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics or similar discipline with an analytical bias.
- Experience in financial controllership or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Excel and working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL)
  • Solid experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritise workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management
