We are looking for a motivated and compassionate

Financial Capability Adviser

to join our team in this new and rewarding role. You'll be delivering both one-to-one and group financial education sessions across the Test Valley area, empowering individuals to better manage their money and avoid financial crisis.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with individuals and communities, offering practical support to improve financial wellbeing and resilience in response to the ongoing cost of living challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing tailored one-to-one financial capability sessions, helping clients with budgeting, saving, borrowing, and banking decisions. Delivering engaging group training sessions in the community, using established materials. Developing partnerships to publicise sessions and engage a wide audience. Recording outcomes and reporting progress against project goals. Supporting clients to access wider Citizens Advice services and other local support.

What We're Looking For

Experience working with individuals in a support or advisory capacity. Strong communication skills and confidence presenting financial topics to groups. Empathy, patience, and excellent listening skills. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping. Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of the cost of living issues affecting individuals today.
You'll need access to your own transport as the role involves travel across the Test Valley area (including Andover, Romsey, and rural locations).
