The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance within the business services industry. This role requires strong expertise in accounting and finance to support decision-making and drive financial performance.

• Manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Drive financial strategy and provide commercial insight to support the growth agenda
• Support and influence leadership on investment, scaling, and operational decisions
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Analyse financial data to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial processes and controls.
• Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee transactional finance, payroll, bookkeeping
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required.

A successful Financial Controller should have:

• A strong background in accounting and finance, with relevant qualifications.
• Proven experience in financial management within the business services industry.
• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Confident, influential, and commercially minded
• Hands-on, pragmatic, and ready to build from the ground up
• Experienced in growth environments, ideally having taken a business through increasing structure, maturity, or agility initiatives
• Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day?to?day operational delivery
• A natural leader who enjoys mentoring junior talent
• Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA )
