Financial Controller Maintenance

Job Description

DB Cargo UK are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Controller to join our Finance team primarily based at one of our Maintenance Sites (Toton, Stoke or Crewe), with a hybrid working model.



As a Maintenance Controller, you'll provide support for the preparation of financial analysis and guidance to support decision making within Asset Management and Maintenance division. Within the role, you'll business partner with our Locomotive and Wagon Management Teams to analyse financial results, manage the budgeting and forecasting process and focus on profit driven results.



Our finance function at DB Cargo UK work at both an operational and strategic level. They are busy analysing the company's financial statements, evaluating economic trends and identifying its future investment. They manage local budgets and create strategic reports for group.

What will you be doing?





Delivery of key financial targets by working with the Loco and Wagon management teams, including the wagon and wheel overhaul facility at Stoke



Deliver month end results and forecast in accordance with agreed timescales for the role's area of responsibility



Work with the Commercial Manager on ensuring 3rd party contracts maximise profitability



Ensuring the integrity of the financial and internal control environment within Maintenance



Ensuring revenue and costs are recognised in accordance with accounting standards, including inter company



Support the development of a robust Mid Term Plan (MTP) for the agreed area within the maintenance function



Work with and support the Maintenance team in other key areas as they arise



Deputise for the Senior Maintenance Controller as and when required

Accounting experience.



Experience in a Business Partner capacity within a mid to large company would be desirable, but not essential



Part CIMA qualified would be a distinct advantage.
