Financial Controller - 15-month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Leave)
Reigate (3 days on site, so candidates should live nearby)
up to 70,000 plus discretionary bonus and benefits (private healthcare)
To Start - December 2025 or January 2026
Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a competent and credible Financial Controller to join a growing SME business in Reigate, offering a friendly and cohesive culture. This role is maternity cover for a superb Financial Controller. It reports to the Finance Director and takes responsibility for a small finance team.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Preparing month end reporting
- Business partnering with senior leaders on budgets and forecasts
- Ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory requirements
- Act as point of contact for external audit team
- Ensure the business fulfills its obligations around revenue recognition (IFRS 15)
- Responsible for weekly cash flow reporting.
- Overseeing the assistant accountant.
- Working on SAP B1 projects.
- A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
- Experience in month-end and year-end reporting, alongside complex IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
- Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge - UK GAAP legislation and statutory requirements
- SAP B1 experience is helpful but not essential
- Able to start in Dec 2025 or January 2026
