The Role

We're looking for a

Finance Director (FD)

to join our leadership team and drive the next phase of Homebound's financial evolution. This is a pivotal role for an experienced finance professional who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and wants to shape the financial strategy of a company scaling rapidly across the UK.

You'll work closely with the founders to establish robust financial systems, oversee cash management, lead fundraising activities, and explore innovative financing routes to support asset growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Leadership

Build a deep understanding of Homebound's business model, key drivers, revenue streams, and customer segments. Own Homebound's financial strategy, forecasting, and planning processes. Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic decisions around growth, pricing, and capital allocation. Develop financial models and KPIs that provide clear insights into performance and future opportunities.

Fundraising & Investment Rounds

Lead financial planning for upcoming investment rounds. Build and maintain relationships with investors, venture lenders, and strategic partners. Prepare investor materials, board reports, and manage capital structure decisions.

Financing & Capital Structure

Design and implement financing strategies for asset growth, including debt facilities, working capital lines, and leasing structures. Negotiate and manage relationships with financial institutions and lenders. Evaluate innovative funding models aligned with Homebound's rental model and growth trajectory.

Financial Operations & Compliance

Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial controls. Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements. Implement systems and processes to support scalability and transparency.

Leadership & Team Building

Build and lead a small but high-performing finance function. Foster a culture of commercial accountability across the business. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board.

What We're Looking For

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience). 7+ years' experience in finance, including leadership roles in startups or high-growth environments. Proven track record leading fundraising rounds (equity and/or debt). Experience structuring asset-backed or venture debt financing is highly desirable. Exceptional analytical, strategic, and communication skills. Hands-on mindset -- comfortable operating both strategically and tactically. Pay: 53,042.01-122,355.35 per year
