Overview of Role



We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment. This hands-on position is responsible for managing and optimising Munro Vehicles' financial operations to support robust performance and sustainable growth. The role encompasses the preparation and coordination of accounting activities, financial reporting, and cost analysis, while working closely with local management to enhance financial awareness, improve profitability, and drive productivity. Based full-time at our East Kilbride facility, this is an opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a pioneering electric vehicle manufacturer as a key member of the site's management team.

You will have a strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, combined with a commitment to compliance and best-practice governance.

Detail-oriented and commercially focused, you will take responsibility for managing day-to-day financial activities, from cash flow and forecasting through to cost control and strategic analysis. In a rapidly growing company, you will play a key role in developing and implementing processes that drive efficiency, profitability, and scalability.

You will collaborate closely with leadership and operational teams to provide financial insight that supports decision-making and long-term planning. Your ability to analyse data, identify trends, and recommend actionable strategies will be critical to our success.

Strong technical skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and clear communication are essential. You will contribute to a positive, growth-focused culture and help shape Munro's reputation for operational excellence. Occasional travel to supplier or partner sites may be required to support commercial negotiations or financial reviews.

Role Responsibilities



Financial Reporting & Compliance qualification



Maintain the company's accounting records and ensure statutory compliance

Prepare the monthly results pack and variance analysis

File yearly financial statements

Liaise with local tax advisors on fiscal matters

Strategic Planning & Analysis



Prepare annual business plan

Perform capex investment analysis

Develop cash flow and working capital forecasts

Manage capital-raising efforts across equity, debt, and grant funding streams to support growth

Systems & Process Improvement



Implement financial procedures and internal controls

Support in the identification in MRP/ERP system to support growth

Establish cost accounting routines and analysis

Stakeholder Engagement



Manage the relationship with the third-party accountancy provider as the business and the in-house Finance functions grow

Lead the development of in-house accounting functions as scale permits

Collaborate across departments to enhance financial awareness

Maintaining month-end results

Essential Qualifications



UK Accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA)

5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a start-up

Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Ability to develop rigour and structure whilst working without it as the business rapidly grow

Willingness work in the detail at the same time as developing the big picture

Skilled in MS Office and use of MRP/ERP systems

Comfortable working in detail while maintaining strategic oversight

Desirable Qualifications



Experience in the automotive or EV sector

Previous experience working within a startup environment

Prior involvement in MRP/ERP rollouts or financial system upgrades

Proficiency in developing dashboards and tools to deliver actionable financial insights

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-60,000.00 per year
