ABOUT THE POSITION



We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our finance team based in Portsmouth, UK. This role is critical in providing financial insights and strategic support to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making, and enhancing overall business performance.



As an FP&A Manager, you will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities, ensuring robust financial planning and commercial insight across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in financial modelling, data analysis, and stakeholder management.



WHAT WILL I DO?


Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across departments. Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, profitability, and investment opportunities. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track financial performance against targets. Partner with senior stakeholders across the organization, delivering clear and actionable financial insights. Support cost control, margin analysis, and revenue optimization strategies. Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to enhance financial efficiency. Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and management information packs. Cover for the Finance Director where required.




WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience in financial planning and analysis. Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-making. Advanced spreadsheet skills Strong commercial awareness and a strategic mindset. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Ideally a background in SaaS. Ideally a background in private equity backed businesses. Ideally a background not just in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling but financial control too.
