Overview:

The

Financial Reporting Account

will be based on a hybrid basis from our stunning city centre location in Leeds. You'll report to the Financial Controller - EMEA, with responsibility for proactively providing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis which will support operational and financial decision making across the EMEA region.


The Financial Reporting Accountant will contribute to the financial accounting function to deliver financial reporting to group timetable requirements, deliver on audit requirements and support project work across the Finance function.

What you need:

To be fully qualified or in the final stage of the ACCA/ACA professional accounting qualification with 3+ years of accounting work experience Demonstrable experience in collaborating with overseas share services teams Advanced computer software skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting packages Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to engage stakeholders within the business and to positively impact customer outcomes Demonstrable understanding of current accounting standards A proven deadline driven mindset, with the ability to think critically, a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills A deep understanding of relevant legislation, accounting standards and industry best practice Demonstrable ability to take ownership of the delivery of assigned projects

It would be nice to have:

Audit experience would be advantageous

Day to Day, you will:

Compile and review Balance sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting packs Control and review fixed assets, undertake Payroll and benefits accounting and prepare Statutory FS Perform Audit liaison and query resolution, provide support for Group reporting and undertake all aspects of Regulatory reporting Oversee and review offshore account resources Work closely with stakeholders to be recognised as a key member of the Finance team, actively exhibiting a high performing culture and MPMS values across the business Foster strong working relationships with the Finance team, the Indian Hub and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with all regulations, industry standards and MPMS values Keep up to date with regulatory and legislative changes that may impact financial account and reporting processes Promote a best-practice culture with the business through training, education and compliance awareness The above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time-to-time based on business needs.
